PURCHASE CONDITIONS

Just like any other business, Ontario Salvage Limited has established a set of terms and conditions to ensure fair trade between you and our scrapyard. When it comes to selling and purchasing metal, our team works with your best interests at heart all while being mindful of the environment. Find out in the list below if you can get cash for your scrap in Toronto!

  • BALLASTS AND CAPACITORS

    Such items must include a label indicating “No PCBs” or a document detailing acceptable levels.

  • BATTERIES

    Ontario Salvage Limited only accepts the following batteries:

    (Lead, Gel, Acid Automobile, Stationary, Steel Clad Forklift).

  • BARRELS AND DRUMS

    We only accept items that aren’t labelled as hazardous. Before accepting these, they must be clean and dry, meaning no residue left. Tops will always be removed for inspection

  • CYLINDERS AND TANKS

    Valves must be removed and tanks must be cut in half if the cylinder or tank contained compressed or liquified gases

  • LIGHTING FIXTURES

    Accepted only when ballasts, capacitors, and bulbs have been removed

  • ASBESTOS

    Any metal subject to asbestos must be cleaned according to laws and regulations before purchase

  • FLUIDS

    Whether the metal contains oil, fuel, coolant, antifreeze, hydraulic oil, or any other solvents, it should be cleaned before it is brought into the scrapyard

  • SHELLS AND MUNITIONS

    Such items must be discharged, emptied, and cleaned before purchase

  • TRANSFORMERS

    Must be drained, dry, or provide documentation of its cleanliness
